Dawber began her career as a model in New York. Her first role she played in 1978 in the film The Wedding. In the same year she was well known Robin Williams in the comedy Mork & Mindy. After the end of that series they have played in several other film and TV productions. So they did in 1992 starred in the film Stay tuned. Furthermore, she was active in the theater, including Broadway.
Dawber since 1987 is married to actor Mark Harmon and together they have two children.
