Wendy van Wanten

Wendy Van Wanten pseudonym of Iris Vandenkerckhove, a Flemish model, singer and TV figure.
Iris Vandenkerckhove began her career as a model in a Gents modelbureau. She appeared among others in Elle, Vogue, Burda, Flair and The American New Look. She has completed assignments in Paris, Dusseldorf, Amsterdam, the Bahamas and Arizona (United States).
In 1986 she was winner of the cup as Iris Baccara in the team of Johan Verminnen with the song If I could only ....
In 2000 she played a delivery into Samson and Gert as herself.
She also played a guest in Family Backeljau (episode: Concrete Head).
She was especially known for the Pin-Up Club, where she serve as Wendy Van Wanten, the letters section presented.
In 2006, she was the subject of the TV program Who is the man of Wendy on VTM. Here she found her partner, Frans Vancoppenolle, who also became her manager. Later they were seen together in the docusoap Wendy & Verwanten "on VTM.
